Heather Gross founded Treetop Initiatives in 2000 and again in 2021 to hold space for facilitation. She convenes important conversations and leads teams, programs and workshops that promote belonging, cohesion and productive collaboration.

Heather is a graduate of Pearson College UWC and holds a master’s degree in Human Geography (2010). She completed a Professional Certificate in Advanced Facilitation Practices at Royal Roads University especially focusing on Art of Hosting practices as well as Liberating Structures. She is certified Lumina Practitioner and qualified with the LPI® 360.

From 2017 to 2021, she was Deputy Head and VP Education and Programming at Pearson College UWC. She also served there as Director of Admissions and Universities Counsellor. Her 14 years with Pearson and the United World College movement included extensive travel to different educational communities around the globe. She also worked in recruitment and admissions at the University of Alberta and in experiential education at the Royal Alberta Museum and William A. Switzer Provincial Park.

Facilitation has been a thread running through Heather’s professional and volunteer experience and while living as a student in India and Germany. She enjoys bringing people together and is pleased when the conversation turns to geography or gardening!
